This page explains what data the Midad website collects and how we use and protect it.
Orders
When you order from the store we keep your name, phone number and email address, the address and emirate if you choose delivery, the products and quantities, the payment method and any note you write. We use them only to confirm, prepare and deliver the order. Nothing is paid on the website; you pay on delivery or pickup, in cash or by card.
Digital files and downloads
The files you buy are kept in your account. Each time you download one, the store records the time, IP address and account, so we can count the downloads left and protect the files from sharing that isn’t allowed.
Files for services
Files you send us on WhatsApp or by email for printing, scanning, CVs or translation are used only to carry out the service, shared with no one, and deleted from our devices 30 days after handover. The chat itself is also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Accounts and the contact form
- Customer accounts: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), addresses, and order and download history.
- The contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, kept in the website’s dashboard.
Cookies and what your browser keeps
We use only the cookies we need: for signing in, for keeping your cart during your visit and for protecting forms from automated messages. Your browser also keeps a copy of the cart to speed pages up. We use no tracking or advertising tools, and you can clear all of this by deleting this site’s data in your browser.
Retention and your rights
Orders are kept for five years for accounting, as the law requires, and contact messages for twelve months. You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or the deletion of your account at any time from the contact page, and we reply within thirty days.
